Large goals can create paralysis when the mind tries to solve the entire journey at once. The next responsible step is smaller: what can I do today that moves me toward health, integrity, preparation or purpose?

For a person rebuilding after crisis, the step may be making a call, completing therapy or returning to a plan with patience. For a leader, it may be telling the truth, correcting a process or asking for expert help. Responsible does not always mean comfortable. It means appropriate for the current reality.
