KEEP RUNNING: Easy Means Easy

One of the hardest disciplines for a motivated person is learning not to turn every day into a test. In running, easy means easy—and that principle carries into life.

An easy day is not a wasted day. It can build aerobic capacity, reinforce movement, protect recovery and prepare the body for work that actually requires greater intensity.

The same mistake happens in leadership. People confuse constant urgency with commitment. Every meeting becomes a crisis, every problem becomes an emergency and every season is treated like a sprint. Eventually, performance pays the price.

Wise pacing is not laziness. It is stewardship. Sustainable excellence depends on knowing the purpose of the day in front of you rather than proving toughness at every opportunity.

Consistency over heroics. Recovery is training. Health is the first finish line. Those principles become real only when the easier days are respected as part of the plan.

KEEP RUNNING lesson: not every step needs to be fast to move you forward.
