Leaders are often rewarded for appearing strong, which can make it harder to admit when stress, grief, fatigue or emotional strain has exceeded what they can responsibly carry alone.

Strength includes self-awareness. Asking for qualified help is not a surrender of leadership; it can be an act of leadership. Healthy leaders respect professional scope, build support systems and understand that mental wellness deserves the same seriousness as other forms of health.
